Catherine took the rose and smiled, "Thanks!" She said brightly and looked over at Tom hesitantly who simply mouthed 'gay' at her. She huffed and turned away, "It's a bit of a mess really. I mean I can freeze things," She threw the rose in the air and with a swift hand movement it remained there, "Create shields," She stared at a space in the air and the rose seemed to land on it, "And sort of, control..? Light," Catherine smiled and pulled light glowing shapes from mid-air like tiny fireflies and allowed them to dance in her fingertips.

"For God's sake! Can we stop with the imagery?!" Maya winced, "No offence Alex," She added for good measure.

Alex looked wistfully at her.
"I've been shaving my legs for two months now." Saphira looked stunned. "I always seem to cut myself though..." he added miserably.

"MUST... RESIST... SELF HARM... JOKE..." Josh thought, trying to concentrate on his game.

Leon was happy to see somebody who was interested in getting to know him for once.
"How did you discover your powers?"

Alexa sighed and slapped Danny around the head.
"Talk to Maya or Saphira later about it. They're just rumours. Get over it."

"Meh, it was really lame... I was helping my mum with the tea one night and I was carrying it through, managed to slip up shouted 'no' and for some reason the plate stopped in mid air. The shield I discovered when I was about to bump into something - I bounced off... The light on the other hand I just sort of focused really hard and it happened... somehow..."

She sighed and shrugged, "I'm sure your story is much more interesting."

"You shave your legs?" Maya repeated slowly, "Sorry about the... obvious question, but, why?"

Alex rolled his eyes. Maya was so stupid not to know.
"So I look good in a skirt. Duh."

Leon laughed.
"No, your story is much more interesting. I was really hungry one day and I just pictured a pizza and it appeared."

Catherine laughed, "See that's far better! God I'd love to be able to do that... I didn't really fancy eating at Little Chef."

"Oh excuse me for being so ignorant," Maya rolled her eyes, "I mean all guys shave their legs so they can look good in a skirt, Josh?"

Josh looked horrified for a moment.
"I don't wear skirts."

Alex glared at her.
"I have to maintain a good appearance as the Phantom Belly Dancer." he explained.

Leon stared blankly at Cathy.
"Holy shit, why did I bother eating that shit when I could have just thought up more delicious food..? I must be tired."

"I know you don't!" Maya cried, "It's just that... Never mind..." She turned back to Alex, "I'm not sure 'good appearance' and 'Phantom Belly Dancer' belong in the same sentence.'"

Catherine paused for a moment, her mouth twitching, attempting to form a response.
"Seriously?!" She sunk down into her seat, "I'd kill to have that power right now..."

"So would I!" Tom leaned over to attempt to join the conversation.

"Tom, no one cares."

"Sir, can I go now?" Jake whined at the teacher, "Please?"

"Good luck kid, your only options are that annoying Tom kid, the whiny Carter whore and me. I think I'm your best choice."

"What a fat, sweaty, ol-" Jake stopped dead as a hand clamped down on his shoulder.

"If you value your life, you won't carry on," Sparks literally flew from the man's eyes.

"Is that even legal!?"

A kid in the row next to Jake leaned forward and whispered;
"Neither is fucking a student and knocking her up but there you go!"

Alex sighed and ignored Maya. She just didn't understand him at all.

Leon smiled at Cathy's quick response to Tom. He finally had somebody on his side.

Jake nodded in complete seriousness, "Exactly! You're just wrong through and through aren't you?"
"What?" Mr. Body was beginning to seriously lose his patience now.
"Sexual harrassment, abuse of a student, it's not looking too good is it?"
Mr. Body stood up and pulled Jake by the collar of his shirt for emphasis, "I'LL TELL YOU ONCE, AND ONLY ONCE. I AM NOT SLEEPING WITH SOPHIA ANGEL."

"There, that wasn't so hard now... was it?"

The kid grinned.
"Ahhhh, sleeping. Present tense." he winked.

Saphira let her white mouse run around in her lap. Absent mindedly, she looked out of the window and gasped.
"ROAD SIGN. FIVE MILES. NEARLY THERE!" she gibbered.

Jake snorted and high fived the kid, which proved to be surprisingly difficult within the teacher's grip.

"Right! BOTH OF YOU!" Mr. Body's face was blossoming into a rather unattractive red. Well more unattractive than usual. Which was really saying something, "I have not slept with Sophia, I am not sleeping with Sophia and I have no intention to sleep with Sophia."

"But where are we going?" Maya complained.

"Why not, she was hot before she got knocked up." the kid spoke back in a rather daring manner.

"I heard some kids something about woods and a beach or whatever. Either way, I saw a sign for 'Tillyton Camp' and I assume we're going there." Saphira explained with a knowing smile.

"I cannot comment on that sort of thing regarding my students," He put Jake back down.

Jake sniggered, "That means you did then?"

Maya smiled, "But someone said camping earlier! A tent for two weeks and all those boring zipwires! I mean we're gifted for Christ's sake... Half of us can fly anyway!" She shook her head, "It'll probably be one of those team building events..."

"I hate team building." Josh complained.
"You hate everything." Saphira decided with a snooty expression.
"I don't care where we go, I just want to get off this bus." Alex moaned.

"Just shut u-" The bus finally skidded to a halt sending Mr Body flying into the small corridor between the rows of seats.

"Right everybody off the bus," Mrs Hunter shouted at the mass of students, "Now."

Quickly in a chorus of screams and shouts the students trampled over Mr. Body's body, ignoring his groans and murmers of protest.

Leon leapt out of his seat and started to run for the door. However, before he managed to escape, he caught in some sort of trap.

He began sinking into what seemed to be quick sand and he felt himself being swallowed up by something squishy and hairy. He fell over and thrashed about in the blobs of fat.
"HELP! HELP ME! I'M DROWNING IN BODY FAT!"

Catherine widened her eyes in panic, "Here, take my hand!" She reached out to him, pulling him up from the huge teacher.

Maya jumped off the bus and laughed at an annoyed looking Jake, "Lighten up," She cackled.

"Lighten up, I sat next to Mr. Body..." He smiled as Saphira made her way off the bus, "No, Mr. Body has not slept with Sophie."

Leon grabbed Cathy's hand and felt himself being pulled up into her arms. She steadied him and then guided him around the blobby sea of science teacher.
"Thanks." he breathed gratefully.

Saphira rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, so it must be Tom like I suggested." she winked at Maya.

"WHA- NO- CAN'T- HE'S GAY!?" Maya exploded, "NO HE'S NOT THE FATHER! It's got to be either Seth or Tyler..."

Maya looked up to the door of the bus, waiting to see her brother. Alexa and Danny were stepping off, she crossed in front of them and headed over to the luggage compartment, "Saph, give us an 'and?"

"No problem!" Catherine smiled, whilst Tom stared daggers into Leon's back.

Leon smiled sweetly and then finally took in their surroundings. They were stood in a gravel car park next to a rickety looking log building.
"WE'RE JUST GOING TO CHECK YOU IN." a teacher bellowed. "WILL THE GIRLS ALL GET IN GROUPS OF FOUR AND CAN THE BOYS ALSO DO THIS? THIS WILL DETERMINE WHO YOU ARE SHARING YOUR CABIN WITH."

Saphira stared at Maya with a shocked expression.
"Tom is gay?"

"Did you not see him chatting up Leon?" She panicked, "They were flirting! He was holding his hand!"

She paused and then looked around, "Who are we gunna share a cabin with?!" She panicked, "If we're not careful we'll be stuck with Katia and Carter."

Jake edged closer towards Alex and Josh, "Can I... Um... Share with you guys?"

Alex and Josh exchanged looks hurriedly.
"Oh, we're not sharing a cabin with one another!" Alex cried.

Saphira scooped up Alexa who was walking past. Lexy freaked out and nearly dropped her lizard.
"You're sharing with me and Maya." she insisted.

"Yes!" Maya cried hurriedly, "Quick! We need one more!" She scanned the area and pulled Catherine away from Leon, who clutched her rose tight to her chest.

"Catherine you know how much you want to share with us... right?" Maya grinned from ear to ear.

"What?" Jake shook his head, feeling tired, "Fine, whatever, I just don't particularly want to get stuck with Matt, Tyler, Seth or Lance... or that lonely Leon kid."

"Woah man, we were just joking." Alex muttered bluntly. He couldn't think straight.
"We're best friends. We do everything together." Josh pointed out.
"Bromance." Jake pointed out.

Leon shuffled over towards Alex and Josh.
"Can I be with you guys? I'd be lonely if I was on my own..."

"Wouldn't you rather... Share with Tom?" Jake attempted and looked up to see Matt wandering around on his own, "Actually, we'd love you to!"

Catherine stammered, "What? Yeah? Of course!"

Maya squinted, "You do know that Leon kid is gay... right?"

"Leon! No! He's really nice! He gave me this rose, see!"
