Silverdale Boarding School For The Gifted II

"What the hell is up with that Matt bloke?" Josh whispered to Alex who was staring thoughtfully up at the school.
"Eh, he's a whiny bitch full of angst and an urge to attention whore."
"This is a PG roleplay you know."
"Ah."

Maya laughs and then groans and looks at her brother, Don't encourage him, don't enourage him, please don't encourage him.. She pleads silently to herself and waits for him to start singing. Maybe he's matured overnight, she hopes.

"Ugh, you think with the amount of problems they might actually have invented working ones by now!" She complains and tries to force out the seatbelt. She kneels on the seat and pulls as hard as she can, "Aha!" Maya cries as it releases, "Oh god," She says quietly as she finds herself on the floor with a now un retracting seatbelt, "You can't win!"

"Well I can't bloody move! You're blocking my way out!" He argues back becoming irritated that she hadn't weighed up the situation.

"Eye spy with my little e-" Catherine starts.

"Don't even think about it!" Tom warns her still grumpy about his failed plan.

"Hmf, fine," She folds her arms and turns her head to see if anyone else would actually talk to her that wasn't irritated by her presence.

"Well how about now?" Carter steps to the side in a polite manner, but holding her leg out in the way.
The faceplant trick was an old favourite.

"Completely out of the way," He states and rolls his eyes, "And anyway what about Katia or has she got tired of your sunny disposition."

Maya screams again and clicks it into place with as much force as she can manage. The left over seatbelt that had been hanging around her ankles quickly rolls itself up.

"What's going on over there?" She motions to the voices she had not heard previously thanks to her rage at the seatbelt.

Gradually now, more and more people were arriving and the seats were being filled by students. Alex whipped out his binmensnow DS and switched it on out of boredom. They were just waiting for last minute stragglers now. Kids were rummaging through pockets for medication that would stop them being travel sick.

With sigh of relief and a small plead to himself for no singing the bus driver closes the doors and starts the coach and looksat a mirror to see the goings on down the coach. The atmosphere was seemingly relatively calm so he took this as a good sign and starts to pull out of the school dreading the journey ahead.

"Eye spy-" Catherine begins and with a quick glance in her direction she loses the ability to speak, for a while. Tom closes his eyes and leans back, still sulking and hating his close proximity to the teachers.

There was a scream of joy from many people on the coach as the driver pulled out of the school gates.

"TO THE BEACH!" one kid screamed.
"NO TO THE WOODS!" another girl yelled.
"I THOUGHT IT WAS THE COUNTRY!"
"THE SEA!"
"THE MOUNTAINS!"
"A CAMP SITE!"
"DISNEY WORLD!"
"A LONG LONG TIME AGO IN A GALAXY FAR FAR AWAY!"

After that there was a long pause.
"Where are we going?" Leon asked out of confusion.

Carter grabbed onto the luggage shelf above as the bus began to move.
"If you don't scram in the next 10 seconds then you're going to get a lovely new piercing courtesy of my shoes." She pointed at the spiked heel.
Matt slowly began to decompose part of the headrest next to Jake's head, moving closer the longer he sat there.
"Hey kid. I'd go if I were you 'cause this seat doesn't like you." He pointed with his free hand to the burn mark.

Claire slumped down in the seat next to her sister.
"I'm so glad we could sit together!" Serra squeaked and hugged Claire.
"Don't annoy me. It's a long ride and I am not in the mood." Claire snapped and turned to stare out of the window.

"I have no idea but I hope it's fun." Danny leaned over to Leon again. "Any idea?" He asked Lexy.

"For God's sake I've been trying to move for the past ten minutes but you and your psycho girl friend have been stopping me!" He exclaims and looks up at the air-conditioning above him and uses his powers to make it switch on to about ten times it's normal speed.

He stands up into the aisle and does the same to the air conditioner above Carter's seat before being thrown forward by a bump in the road. Quickly he dives into the only spare seat he could find, next to a lower schooler and surrounded by more. Could it get any worse?

Lexy rolled her eyes and unclipped her seatbelt. Looking at the teachers sat at the front of the coach, she tried to read their minds. With a pained gasp and a sharp shake of her head she stopped making the attempt.
"I don't know. I tried reading their minds but they've chosen to all think of Kumbaya my Lord."

Instead she chose to slip out of her seat and began crawling across the floor unnoticed. At last she reached the front of the bus where the driver could be seen.
"Excuse me, where are we going?" she asked politely.
"Can't tell you kid."
"I'll start singing in a minute."
"Go away."
"I KNOW A SONG THAT'LL GET ON YOUR-Glerk!" she felt a teacher swivel her around.
"Back to your seat. Now."

"Any idea of where we're going?" Maya asks Saphira as she watchs Alexa bing returned to her seat, "You reckon the driver has a sat nav?" She looks forward but her view obstructed.

Jake smiles uneaily at the kid next to him then looks backwards, diagonally back is Tom and Catherine. He sits down before Tom spots him and tries to remain unnoticed.

Emma holds her letter of consent and tries to stop herself from ripping it up, "Stupid stupid parents..." She mutters as she heads back to her room.

"Oh for God's sake!" Carter yells as she mashes all the buttons on the air conditioning.
"Let me." Matt simply holds his hand up to the fan and concentrates.
"Problem solved." He pulls his hand away as a ball of black soot falls onto Carter's lap.
"Bloody hell look what you did now!" She screeches and tries to brush the soot off.
"You'll deal with it." Matt rolls his eyes.
"Of course I will, because I'll be dealing with that little sh--"
"Calm down!" Matt grabs Carters cheeks and looks at her.

Alex grunted and turned off his binmensnow DS. Glaring over at Matt, he let his own hands glow into embers.
"He annoys me. What makes him think he's so tough?" Josh looked at Alex and shrugged. Alex pulled Lloyd out of his jacket pocket and stuck him on the window.
"Sophie's parents are going to kill me." he announced after a while.

Saphira shrugged and let her mouse sit in her lap.
"I guess I could summon some birds and ask them to go on ahead and take a look."

Maya nods at Saph's suggestion and bites into her lip as she listens to Carter's reactions, "Someone has to put them two straight," She clenches her hands into fists before she could do anything irrational.

Further up the coach Jake hears what Carter is saying too and gets out of his seat to talk to Tom, "A fiver for you to blind them two..." He holds out money.

Tom's face glimmers back to life and Catherine begins to look hopeful. Tom takes the money and obeys the instruction.

Saphira struggled to open the window and she summoned a couple of sparrows. They hopped through the small space and danced on the little plastic ledge next to the window.
"Can you please fly ahead and check out where we might be going for our trip?" she begged them. They tweeted in agreement and shot out of the window.

Alex unbuckled his seatbelt.
"Come on Josh. I'm sick of Matt. Lets go show him he's not in charge." Adrenalin pounding through him, Alex marched over to Carter and Matt. Without saying a word he let fire lick at his fingers. Anger sizzled in his eyes. In an attempt to try and look threatening, Josh winced and held his hands out in front of him in a similar way. Daisies and roses sprung up on his fingers and his arms sagged in disappointment.
"TAKE THAT YOU MONSTER!" he bellowed, showering them in petals.

Matt brushed the petals out of his and Carter's hair.
"What the hell do you think you're doing you freak?!" He yelled.
"What did he do?" Carter asked. It was only then that she realised something was wrong. "Matt what did the little idiot do I can't see anything?!" She screamed in horror.

Serra tried to sit up and get a good view of what was happening, she was quite a fan of this sort of drama. Claire could see that there was a general aura of anger and wanted to keep out of it. She then noticed something else present, but couldn't figure out what it was. She sat up in her seat and looked a few rows ahead. She could just make out the shape of Katia sat by herself.

"No luck then?" Danny asked. Lexy shook her head. "Let me see if they've got any memories." He got up from the seat and walked towards the front of the bus.
"Hey, sir, where are we going?" He asked, putting his hand on the teacher's shoulder to get their attention. He knew he wouldn't be told - but the one touch was all he needed. Nobody can disguise their memories completely.
"We can't possibly tell you! Go back to your seat!" The teacher demanded. Danny obeyed and went to sit back to Lexy.
"Well..." He started. A couple of kids turned around and looked hopeful. "Looks like we're off for a bit of a camping adventure. High wires here we come!"

"Little?" Josh spluttered. "You're hardly that tall yourself without your stupid shoes. You used to be all right Carter. Until this idiot came along." Alex put a barrier of fire between Josh and Carter, wisps of petals smoked and smouldered.
"You're not the only person in this school." Alex snapped.

Lexy groaned. Camping wasn't what she had had in mind.
"Tents or cabins?" she asked; biting her lip.

"Tents for us. Cabins for the teachers." Danny pursed his lips. "At least some people will get what they deserve." He pointed at Carter and Matt.

"Will you just bugger off?! At least I didn't go and get my girlfriend pregnant even though she's only 15 for God's sake!" Matt yelled. He realised he'd probably hit a sore spot.

Alex laughed cynically and lowered his arm. He doubted Josh would try out his flower power again.
"You weren't even here to hear the whole story." he pointed out. Some how he managed to keep his voice steady.

Lexy groaned again.
"But are there any decent showers?" she begged to know. Camping sites were muddy and messy and smelly and she needed to know that she would at least be able to wash easily.

"Oh for God's sake," Maya stoodup to watch the commotion further. They were getting what they deserved at least. Maya sent a small smile to her brother for the blinding, "How low can you get Matt, seriously," She mutters.

Tom smiles back at his sister and clutches Catherine's shaking hand to reassure her, "It'll blow over, don't worry..."

"Camping!?" Catherine joins a calmer conversation, "Camping..!"

"Well if you lot would leave us alone then I wouldn't have to stoop that low would I now?" Matt looked over at Carter. He could see that behind her coloured lenses her eyes were turning a different colour.
"I-I-I'd seriously leave if I were you." He stuttered and grabbed her hand. "Don't go wrath on me now..." he pleaded.

"I don't know about showers. I didn't look that far into it. But I guess there will be. Might be shared though." Danny sighed.

"Just stop trying to stir up stuff when you don't know about it. You may have been unique back when you weren't at this school but now you're just like the rest of us. Get over yourself." Alex sneered. He walked back to his seat, dragging Josh with him.

Lexy snorted in anger.
"Yeugh. I knew it would be crappy." Leon shrugged and leaned forward.
"There's going to have to be some advantages though."

"Mud, cows, teachers, middle of nowhere, yep some advantages!" Catherine sighs.

"It could be fun..." Tom smiles.

"Are you insane?"

Jake sighs and moves further down the bus spotting a spare seat without any moaning lower schoolers nearby.

The thrill of the moment fading away, Alex began to feel sleepy and he rested his head against the glass. Josh rolled his eyes as Alex began breathing softly. He turned behind him to Saphira.
"He's good company really." Saphira smiled weakly as the sparrows hopped back through the window and stomped sweetly in her lap.

"There's not much around. It must be further away." They spoke to her.
"That's useful. We already found out that it's a camp site." Saphira explained. They spread their wings, dipped their heads and swooped back into the open air.

"It'll probably be one of those teambuilding things or something..." Maya states and then suddenly remembers the two all too reluctant team members, "Which is why it would suck if they were on your team..." She rolls her eyes at Carter and Matt. Carter had been okay before Matt came along.

"Any news?" She asks Saphira after she has finished speaking to the birds.
