"Well, i guess we could give it a shot. Let's go!" Sophie stood back and starting running around Alex laughing evily.

"OOF!" Danny pretended to be hit in the stomach by the ball of lightning.
"AH! I SEE THE LIGHT!" He yelled and slowly curled up in a ball on the floor just before pretending to shoot a little bit of water at Alexa.

Claire liked the idea of light and dark.
"Ok, i'll be dark." Claire covered Maya's eyes.
"What are you doing?" Maya said, probably confused.
"Is it dark yet?" Claire joked.

''i guess i win then, and i always thought that the saying 'good always prevails over evil' was just a load of bull'' Carter said giggling, referring to their play where she was 'the good guy'.
''Well...it is really'' Katia said laughing because everyones thoughts seemed to have calmed down.
''better now?'' Carter asked
''Yeah, much better''
''right rematch! i want a fair go at defeating the evil Katia!'' Carter said smiling
''Bring it on goody-two-shoes'' Said Katia standing up

Alex smiled. It looked like he couldn't escape. He didn't want to look stupid in front of Sophie but he had no choice.
"Noooooo!" he cried out and pretended to fire wind at Sophie. He fell to his knees before falling and curling up on the floor twitching and shrieking. Oh god.

Alexa laughed and helped Danny up.
"Shall we practice?"

Josh sat on his own miserably. Saphira was now refusing to do anything.
"Come on Saph..." he tried to encourage her but she tossed her hair and turned her back to him. "Great..." he muttered.

Maya laughed.
"So erm... what should we do?"
How to start... Maya thought.
"We could fight about whether the sun is on or off first so like On! Off! On! or something but we probably need something before that.

Jake scratched his head and looked blank.
I'm hopeless at drama, he thought.

To mantain a balanced diet you need to eat foods from each of the food groups. Emma read the poster.

"That was pretty good!" Sophie was impressed with Alex's acting.
"Maybe a little less drama though. Instead of falling to your knees when you fire, try going backwards or something, like you know, with the force of the wind?" Sophie was making little suggestions, hopnig it would help.

"Sure." Danny was having a fun lesson today, he thought it was more fun than the powers class.
He stepped back to his original place and waited for Alexa to start.

"Ok, how about we start with us meeting, or something..." Claire couldn't think of anything. They had chosen pretty hard powers to go with.

Kyra sighed. Lesson was almost over and she had survived without messing up her powers. She smiled a little but she had spoken too soon. She felt the pressure of quintessence inside her body, felt it buzzing in her fingers. "I can hold it, not long left" she told herself statring at the clock. She had to believe that she was strong enough. It was awful, the power was trying to break free and she was keeping it inside. It made her dizzy and then acting on instinct she opened the fire escape and...threw up.

Luckilly not many people had noticed, only a few. She glanced at the teacher who gestured towards the door. She gratefuly ran to the medical centre desperate for water to clear the taste from her mouth but she had done it. She had succesfully took control.

Alex stood up.
"No... Wind is my power so before I die I should knock you flying or something..." he muttered. He could no longer say things to her face in public because he felt embarrassed.

Alexa and Danny kept practicing the battle and soon they knew it off by heart. Alexa thought they were quite good at acting together and hoped that she would be his partner in other 'drama' lessons.

Josh sighed.
"Look. We'll need to perform this so just act with me ok."
"Fine." spat Saphira who looked much too evil for the 'good guy'

"How about that cheesy film line!" Maya said after her sudden brain wave.
Claire looked confused.
"Well, since you're the evil one you say 'We meet again.'" Maya said.
She paused and thought for a bit.
"Maybe you could say after a silence you could say something like, erm... It's all happy smiley bright with you it makes me sick. Then zap the sun off."
Then i could go:
"Well, erm.. well i can't think of a comeback right now but there! Sun turns back on. By the way the comeback thing was part of the line for my character. I wanted to make her basically ditzy and kind of useless in some ways. And i think we should make her lose in the end or a draw where the world eternally stays at sunset or dusk or something."

"Yeah, i like that idea. Lets start." Claire ran to the other end of the room, the money in her pockets jingled. She spun around and started walking towards Maya.
"So, we meet again..." She said in a cheesy hollywood voice. There was an akward silence. Maya just stood and smiled at the pretend sunlight beaming through the pretend window.
"Your happiness sickens me! It's always bright and sunny! Well that will be no more!" Claire spat, she was really getting into character, but gave a little smile for Maya, just so she knew she was acting.

"Are you alright Alex? Have i done something wrong? Look if it's about the drama then yeah i like your idea, let's go with that. Please speak to me..." Sophie teared up, she didn't know what had gone wrong.

Maya pretended to act shocked as Claire mimicked turning the sun off.
"Well, erm... i can't think of a comeback right now but beleive me i will think of one!" Maya said in character," Got one BYE!"
Maya mimicked her character trying to run away and then tripping over something she pretended to stumble to her feet and switch the sun back on.

Emma moved on to a poster about bananas which was what she was going.

Serra couldn't stand this for much longer. Being water for a day was boring. She washed herself up on the bank and made her way back to the guest house, soaking wet.

Kyra washed the horrible taste out of her mouth and sat in silence alone in the medical room. It always smelt in there, it smelt like hospitals. She waited for the world to go by alone.

Tyler was worried about Kyra, "Oh...i feel very sick" Tyler attempted. Mrs Talens only shook her head at his pathetic attempt "Nice try Tyler but no i wont let you out of class, your social life can wait" she said and shooed him away.

Alex stood back in alarm. That was unpredictable. He quickly pulled her into a hug.
"No no no. I'm fine. I just don't like acting and things." he said quickly.
"Oh I like this one!" cried the female inspector as she approached her. "Good and bad forgiving each other!" and she walked off leaving Alex and Sophie looking confused.

Saphira and Josh's was short and stiff. Josh tried to make her laugh but only achieved fall over and smacking his elbow on a table. He rubbed it as red hot pain rushed down to his hand.
"Are you ok?" Saphira asked coldly.

Sophie looked confused when the inspector said something about forgiving but as soon as she left, Sophie just burst out laughing.
"Ok, so if you don't feel like acting, what shall we do? Pretend to act? or pretend to be good and bad forgiving eachother." Sophie laughed at the thought.

Claire and Maya continuted acting, they were doing quite well.

Serra emerged from the shower, alot dryer than when she came out of the loch. She sat down at the dresser and unraveled her hairdryer.

I'm going to have nightmares about this tonight posters everywhere surrounding me. Thought Emma.
She continued to stare at the smoking poster which had information about smokers lungs.
BOREDOM! BOREDOM! BOREDOM!
She thought as she moved onto a poster which had a gorilla holding a banana which read:
'Try telling him fruit and veg are for wimps.'
She removed herself from staring at posters it was making her eyes hurt and she noticed that another girl had come in.
Emma realised she was staring and glared at a poster with lots of writing on it.
This should keep me occupied for a whole 5 minutes.

Kyra decided to go back to class but stop at her dorm on the way. Inside the warm room she was alone and isolated from others eyes. She stood and let everything go. Beautiful swirls of quintessence bgean to emerge from her fingers and surround her. She felt her body become a part of it as it span around her making any feelings of sickness dissapear and for a few moments the world didnt matter.

It stopped suddenly leaving Kyra in the middle of her dorm fully refreshed she sighed and left the room. She walked past several groups performing ridiculous plays and past several good ones as she approached Tyler and Marine who were practicing. "Hey, i dont think we had a propper introduction, i'm Marine" Kyra smiled and nodded "Kyra" she said. Marine was relieved that she hadnt shook her hand. "Tyler" Tyler added without putting out his hand this time. She seemed a little crazy to him but their was nothing wrong with a bit of madness.

Seth span dodging an imaginary power blast from Jake-his oponent. "Take this" he said as he threw an even bigger imaginary power blast back at him. It was funny trying to act like you had powers, it seemed a little childish and like a fairytale but he knew it wasnt, it was real.

The inspector stood examining the class, she was quite young and very pretty but unfortunatly her mind didnt open to all the possibilities of an event. If she saw a child accidently use their powers she would make excuses and tell herself that it was a trick fo the light, or stage effects.

Thats what they tell you when your a child until it turns out that your child is one of them, but it's better that way. If the world knew what would happen; they would be classed as sub-humans, experimented on, hunted or at the very least discriminated from the rest of society. Those who have the powers are sometimes unwanted, neglected and told they have a curse - not a gift. It is not a question fo what you can believe it's what you want to believe.

Alex smiled.
"No I'll act for you." he said because he didn't want to let her down. He stood back and prepared to be 'attacked'.

"So what ARE your powers?" asked Alexa as they continuedto practice their small play. They had added to it and she was proud with her work. She saw Danny glance at the inspector. "It's all right she'll just think we're on about the play." she smiled.

Josh cradeled his arm and bit his tongue to stop himself swearing. Saphira stared at him icily.
"What is WRONG with you today?" he cried out and wished he hadn't. She gave him such an evil stare he felt all hairs on his arms stand on end.
"My sister." and that was all he got out of her.

Saphira knew she was being cruel to Josh but today she just didn't care. She felt like what she thought Katia would feel like. Every time she moved a letter crinkled in her pocket. She glanced at Josh who was giving her the old puppy dog eyes without realizing it. She softened up slightly when she saw him roll his sleeve down over his bruised elbow. She didn't HAVE to take things out on others.

Maya and Claire were on the final part of their play they were making a dramatic climax.
"That's it!" Called Claire shooting a final blow of imagainary power up at the sky Claire did the same they both pretended to shield their eyes from an imaginary blast. Maya and Claire blinked blankly at the sky, in character.
"Dusk!?" Maya yelled.

Jake sent another blast towards Seth he felt like a little kid at the childrens home again, all alone and playing imagiinary games by himself.

Emma moved onto a poster which said cycling in big bold letters.

Kyra yawned. They had praticed enough and she was bored she sighed and returned to the table she was sat on before and pulled a piece of paper and pencil from her pocket. She began to draw a random flying chickin at heavens gates before a newish voice asked "What you drawing" she jumped making a dark mark across the paper, "Oh im so sorry!" Marine insisted Kyra only shrugged and began to draw Mr Agles...in cartoon form.

Tyler stared at Seth, he hated him. Maybe it was that he liked Kyra or maybe for another reason, he smirked as Seth threw an imaginary energy ball at Jake who dodged it. He wanted to make a mean comment but managed to control himself.

Danny waited for the inspector to move away a little further before introducing his powers.
"Well, i can teleport, see people's past and enter dreams. Not very exciting to be honest." Danny sighed
"So what do you do?" He asked, Lexy was about to reply until the bell rang.

Kyra heard the bell rign loudly meaning lesson was over. The whole class stopped prancing about and headed in a large mob towards the entrance. Tyler, Kyra, Maya and Seth walked in a long row together. Marine walked behind the rest of the class staring at the floor. "Hey Marine come walk with us" yelled Kyra over her shoulder. Marine looked up and happily joined the end of the line where she joined the conversation on the way to class.

"Oh I can read minds and see through walls. It can be useful and tells me who is nice and who isn't." Alexa walked out with Danny and looked over her shoulder at Tyler. "HE sure has something against that guy over there though." she muttered.

Saphira grabbed her bag amd headed for her room. She heard Josh calling after her but ignored him. She wasn't in the mood to be annoyed. She walked faster and she heard him quicken his pace too. She broke into a run and slammed her door in his face. Peace at last.

Woah Saphira seems really annoyed today, Thought Maya as she headed toward the school's sick room.

Emma snapped out of her trance of reading the allergy poster for about the 5th time and headed to the door to be greeted by Maya.
Maya started telling her it was a different inspector so they wouldn't have to perform anyway and that they made up new plays,

Jake left the classroom and went to do some quiet reading in his room.

Kyra sat nervously messing about with her hands while the inspector shoved her glassers up her nose. She had to be careful what she said.
"How do you like this school?" she asked
"Its really fun, we have a wide variety of classes that are educational and full of knowledge" Kyra stated trying not to sound sarcastic.
"Okay great, Why did you choose this school?"
Kyra considered the situation carefully before answering "Because of its high level exam resuts" The inspector nodded obviously accepting her answer.
"Finally, are you mal-nutritioned?"
Kyra stared confused wondering if she had heard correctly. This was confirmed when the question was repeated.
"Errr no?" Kyra said. The inspecotr nodded and said she could leave. Kyra gratefully left the room in a fast pace. "What the hell!" she thought.

''Our ending is SO unfair on me!'' carter exclaimed to Katia while they were leaving the classroom
''how is it unfair?''
''Because we're supposed to pretend to have powers, NOT pretend you have a gun in your pocket and you shoot me!''
Katia laughed at this
''Well thats how a fight with me would probebly end'' Katia said, Carter didn't reply, she seemed to have given up
''...so...What are we doing this break?'' Carter finally asked
''I dunno, i'm probebly going to read''
''No fun'' Carter said
''Well you don't have to come'' said Katia turning into her room

Carter stood in the same spot for a while wondering what she should do, then she heard her stomach rumble.
She went to check what snacks the canteen was selling
''Oh! Cake!'' she said looking at a slice of victoria sponge cake with a cherry on top.
